Thanksgiving 2009 - Part III

We drove to a little town near that advertised that they had a wonderful Santa's village for the kids. We had plans to go down at night when it was totally lit up and Santa was there but it didn't work out. We had to work it into one of our days. Which we were totally thankful for because has to be the world's smallest Santa's village. It was tiny. All of the buildings together stretched maybe 10 feet across. A disappointment for the adults. Ziva didn't really notice but we would have been a bit angry if we had gone there in the dark, when it was freezing cold and being taken over by lots of little kids. The craftsmanship of the village was good. It just could have been a little larger.

This was the biggest "house."
It drove Ziva crazy that none of the doors opened.

Thanksgiving 2009 - Part II

One morning we got up and watch the sunrise. It was could but really fun to be bundles up as a family watching the beautiful scene before us.

Bundled up and wide awake.
Who wakes a 22 month old up early?!?

Thanksgiving 2009 - Part I

This Thanksgiving was wonderful. Jason surprised us with a trip to Blue Ridge Mountains in northern GA. We stayed in a one bedroom cabin with hot tub high, high, high in the mountains. We were the last on our dirt road on the very top. We couldn't see the other cabins below us but we could see all the mountains around us. It was beautiful and relaxing. Also, Jason cooked Thanksgiving dinner! All by his self!

Tree Time

We have our Christmas tree up! It's been two years since we have had a Christmas tree or any Christmas decorations. Since our place is much, much smaller than the last place I decorated, so we had to edit our decorations. We also (actually I did) decided that most of the glass ornaments should stay packed. That way when we decorated we could have wonderful family time. Which we did! Ziva loved and still loves to decorate the tree. The bottom of the tree is constantly under reconstruction. It is also so cute that every morning when she sees the tree all lit up she claps and celebrates like it's the first time she is seeing it.

Let's get decorating!

Fun Time with Daddy

Ziva still loves her Daddy time. This is one of the rare instances where they are being still, instead of rough housing.

OCD?

This is how Ziva plays with her blocks. She did this all by herself. She really likes lining things up, having things in order and things in their place. Which makes clean up time easy but it makes me wonder if we're going to have issues in the future. I was glad when I saw then later in the day tossed in her room. I'm not sure if she did it or Jason.

Atlanta Trip - Part III

Another nice time was when Ziva and I went to Piedmont Park. Though under construction, it is a very nice park. There were a lot of people there which isn't normally a big deal for me but you-know-who has started to wonder off if given a chance. I spent most of my time watching her and my purse (in stroller) like a hawk. Ziva's favorite thing was to run off across the the different grass areas towards other's Frisbee games. Ahhhhhh, it wore me out. BTW...it was in the 70s the entire trip. Very nice.

The only time Z would "cheese" is when her mouth was full of old, cold Chick-fil-a waffle fry.

Atlanta Trip - Part II

One awesome part was the view from our room. Now I'm more of a nature girl when it comes to views, but I won't pass by a nice view no matter where I am. We got a corner room which meant lots and lots of windows. We all really enjoyed it.

Atlanta Trip - Part I

This past weekend Ziva and I got to accompany Jason to Atlanta. He had a rather large medical something or another convention there. We got to stay four days and three nights in Buckhead. Which is one of the more expensive parts of Atlanta, so I am told, so we totally stuck out like sour thumbs. Though we didn't get to see Jason during the day, we did get to explore parts of Atlanta. It was a very nice time.
One thing we did there was visit the Children's Museum in downtown. I have a lot to say about this place, but I don't want to drone on and on about some not so good things. Ziva had fun and that is really all that matters. If you want more on the total experience please ask because I have a lot to say. Still here are some oh so cute pictures of Z and her time there.
