Eden Faith Brown - 6 Weeks

I tried to distract from the "stand up" hair with the headband. Didn't work.

Look-a-likes?

I go back and forth when I try to decide if Eden and Ziva look alike. Hair color is an obvious difference but then everything else seems so slight that it's hard to tell. Then I put these pictures together and defiantly couldn't decide. When I showed them to Jason he couldn't tell me who was who. Can you tell?

Park Pictures

For Mother's Day my mom asked for pictures with the girls. She had even bought matching dresses for them. Of course I jumped at the chance to dress my family in coordinating colors and drag them around outside all day long for just the perfect shot. Unfortunately for my family it was in the upper 80s if not the 90s. None the less we had a fun time and got some cute pictures. So mom here's a preview of your pictures.

Note: They are out of order. Not that it really matters, but it usually bothers me. I don't really have the time for details. We started with pictures then we ended with Ziva playing in the fountain. Which I love! Savannah added this new visitors center at Forsyth park with a fountain that kids can play in. Ziva had a blast.

As Good As It Gets
Eden was so good...until we tried to put her in the pictures.
Also my hair is a mess! It is still growing and growing. I can't keep my bangs short enough...well until this week when I decided to cut them myself. Hopefully, they'll still grow fast.

This picutre says it all.

Does it make us bad parents when we let a two year old hold an infant?

Love This One!

Smile Nanny!

Jason was trying to get Z to lean on her hands.
This is the best we got.

Enough with the camera!

Okay, one more smile.

First Time in the Pool

Eden had her first pool experience. It was a little impromptu. She didn't mind at first but in true baby fashion she finished it out with a crying fit.

Relaxing

Get Me OUT!

And of course it wouldn't be a true outing with Eden unless she spits up.

Messing Around with New Lens

More pictures of me playing with my camera. Still working on my reaction times with my subjects and of course working on the attitude of my subjects. Ziva just doesn't want to smile and when she does it is more silly than sweet.

It's like she's mocking me.

Big Yawn

I just think this one is funny.

Smiley

That hair just won't lay down!

Eden's Hair

We know that it looks like Eden only has half a head of hair. Kind of like she lost the top half after birth. She didn't. First of all it is lighter than Ziva's was at birth. So it looks like she has less than she does. She does though have less than Ziva did. The biggest issue is that it sticks straight up instead of laying down and forward. The fun part is that, like Z, it is starting to curl. Which leads to it sticking up more. As it gets heavier it will lay down...hopefully. Till then you will see her with it sticking straight up.

Eden Faith Brown - 4 Weeks

The day before this picture was taken Eden weighed 8lbs 3ozs. She just keeps packing it on.

Bath Time

Like most babies (I assume) Eden hates getting a bath. She cries the whole time. Add this to her hating getting her diaper changed, hiccups and being laid down. Fun times.

She looks calm in this but she's not.

Camera Practice

That's not drool coming out of Eden's mouth. It's spit up. Eden spits up nonstop. This child spit up more in the first five days of her life than Ziva has to date.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mothers Day last weekend and I got an awesome gift. Jason and the girls gave me a 50mm camera lens. It is for portraits. I have been wanting one for a while. I have to learn to use it...well I have to learn to use it with a toddler as a subject. I love taking pictures of the girls but they're not patient. Anyway, here are pictures of me trying out my new lens. I will get better as my subjects get cuter (if that is possible).

Still working on focusing.

I had to get a picture of this outfit.
