Pancakes

Ziva got to help make pancakes the other morning. She loved it...so much that she threw a fit when it was time to stop stirring. Sigh. After a little correction, she agreed that it would be best to step aside and let mommy cook.

All by myself!

Mmmmmm!

When it gets quiet...PANIC!

Thank the Lord this time it was a false alarm. When I saw this my heart warmed up and I felt all gooshy on the inside like...a warm wet diaper. Then remembered that I should slip away quietly before I ruin it.

Daddy's Shoes

What to do with...

...a "swimmy diaper" in the winter...wear it as a hat. BTW...her father did this not me.

Loves her new hat!

Forsyth Park Inn

I have to give a shout out to the Forsyth Park Inn. You can find it at http://www.forsythparkinn.com/. It is right across from Forsyth and beautiful. It is one of my favorite inns on the Park. Well, we got an awesome parking spot when we went to the park. Which is a big deal and it just happened to be right next to the inn. I wanted to snap a couple of pictures of Z before we headed to the park. The owner happened to return to the inn as we are taking pictures and she invited us into to the garden to take pictures. She was so nice, the gardens were beautiful and Ziva wanted nothing to do with the camera. Still I loved getting to see what I have only got to see though the gate. I would suggest this place to anyone. The garden alone is worth it.

The sidewalk.

One of the huge trees in the back yard.

Walking on a stone walk way isn't easy.

Play Clothes Time

A helping hand from daddy.
"Here..."

"...we..."

"...go!"

"Finally, I get to swing."

More Park Fun

Their favorite trick together. This is taken with her on her way down. Y'all miss the actual height of the throw.

That was fun daddy! Do it again!

I don't know why but I love this picture.
They are just having so much fun!

The only honest pose I got from her. Silly!

Silly Girl

Ziva is really cheerful. She loves to entertain herself. In these pictures she climbed onto a low wall and shaking her hand back and forth and giggling. So funny!

Taking Christmas Pictures

We ventured out a week and a half ago to take Christmas pictures. Like always we didn't get perfect pose but were still very happy with the results. One thing that made it awesome was that we got to play at Forsyth Park. The weather was awesome. It was a wonderful family day.

This picture is taken in this one part of the park that is usually closed. Some sort of secret garden. The first time I have been in there and I have been here since 2000. It is a very nice little nook in the park.

Making her way to the naughty list.
This is actually one reason why I brought extra nice clothes...just in case.

Catch me if you can.

See those flowers? Aren't they pretty? See Ziva ignore them and play with the dirt and mulch.

What are you up to?

Learning to Balance.

Let's Sweep...aka Sleep

One of Ziva's new favorite games is sleeping (pronounced: sweeping) or "nap." Her favorite place to "sweep" is our bed, once it's made. She crawls up there (all by herself) from the bench at the foot of the bed. Then she either pulls the comforter up or covers herself with whatever piece of clothing she has drug up with her. You can also find her "sweeping" on the floor, the kitchen mat, the sofa, etc, etc. She'll lay there and tell you over and over she's "sweeping." It's fun and also maybe one of my favorite games. Especially when we "nap" together and she keeps herself occupied with a book. Seriously, it makes me feel guilty to count this as quality time...even if she does love it.

Another Girl!

On Monday we found out we're having another girl. We also found out that everything looks great and she seems to be doing well. Please continue to pray for us as we prepare for her and of course pray for health and safety.

Look how snuggly she already is.

Thanksgiving 2009 - Part V

On our way home we visited a very awesome place, Amicalolo Falls in north Georgia. It is a beautiful place. We didn't hike the entire climb. I'm too pregnant and Ziva was too rowdy. We did go about a third of the way up...at least it felt that way. It is so beautiful. If you ever get a chance to visit this place you should. It just shouts out God's Glory.
The top and the reflecting pool at the bottom.

The rocky creek that you hike along the side of as you start your accent to the base and eventually the top of the falls.

More before the base of the falls. We didn't make it to the base. It was way up there! We decide to drive.

Looking over the bridge that crosses over the brink of the falls as it starts to spill over.

What is crazy is how small the creek that feed the falls is.

The view from the top.

Thanksgiving 2009 - Part IV

We had lots to do in Blue Ridge. Besides playing in the woods, we went down to the actual little town of Blue Ridge and partook in their Christmas festivities. They had a parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas tree lighting and funnel cakes.

Ziva watching her first parade.
Catch up Daddy!
Mmmm...funnel cake.

Is it too much to ask for you to smile?

Sure, now you smile.

Fun in the woods.
