Egg Hunt

These are some mixed-and-matched pictures of Ziva hunting eggs. They are from two different egg hunts, small one at our house and a larger one at a friend's parents house.

Ziva loves to hunt eggs. We are still hiding them for her in the house. She will hunt over and over again. She has even started hiding them for herself and then finding them. The best part about that is that she forgets where she hides them and needs help sometime.

Another Day, Another Outfit

I had bought this outfit for Ziva last year, but it was too big. It fit this year, so I wanted her to get to wear it. She wore it to an Easter egg hunt. Jason isn't a big fan of it but I think it is cute. A little old fashioned and cute. Anyway, here are a couple of posed pictures of Ziva in the outfit.

Couldn't get a real smile out of her.

The Easter Bunny

We didn't play up the Easter Bunny at all. I am not even sure that we mentioned it. Ziva did get a basket though. This basket led to a difference in opinion on how a Easter Basket should be presented. Jason wanted it by her bed when she woke up. This is how it was for him.
My Easter Basket was always outside on the back or front porch because that is where the Easter Bunny left it. Which makes more sense. How would the bunny make it inside? He's not Santa. So if you are going to insist that the basket is from the bunny then it needs to be outside. If it's just from mom and dad then it really doesn't matter. For the record I don't care which we do. It should just make sense. But apparently I made a big deal about it and that is why it is outside.
I say all that so I can tell you that Ziva loved her basket.
There's something outside.

What's that?

Careful!

Uh Oh!

Awesome!

Our Easter Bunny. Ziva was so proud she could put the ears on all by herself.

Easter

This is the only picture that I have that shows off Z's dress. I didn't get any really good pictures. Ahhhhh! The sand gnats were awful! We couldn't keep her still or keep the gnats out of her eyes.

Playing outside of church.

Jeremiah, Ziva and Joshua. They stayed seated like this for about 15 seconds.

Chicks!

Easter is all about Jesus and his sacrifice for our salvation.
Easter time also means that there are baby chicks to look at and hold at the mall. So we, along with our friend Dee, braved the spring break crowds to let our kids see a baby chick or two. It isn't a big "showie" outing but it is so cute to see their faces when they get close to the chicks. The kids were so well behaved and had lots of fun.
Gentle.
"Holding"
Ziva wanted to hold a chick so bad but we knew we couldn't let her. So this is what Jason came up with it and it was enough to satisfy her.
Jeremiah was a little rough so he had limited access. He still enjoyed it.

Joshua pets the chick.
Check out Ziva. She is helping Daddy show the boys. That's her hand guiding Jason.

Horse

I am just delighted as I watch creativity and imagination develop in my child. It is so much fun and exciting. This day Ziva was riding a box of hangers or as she called it a horse. How cute! Almost as cute as those boots...that are worn everyday now.

Spring Time at the Park - Part III/Sitting Pretty

These are our "pretty" pictures. The ones posing actually, sort of worked, kind of. I hope you enjoy.
Cuties!

I like her hair in this one. Makes it look like it's not the mess that it is.

My Favorite. She was actually enjoying herself here. Jason had her lifted high in a tree.

I just think this picture is so uplifting...he he he.

Giggling

Spring Time at the Park - Part II/Actually Having Fun

These are more pictures from our park visit. These are of Ziva actually having fun. None of those silly flower pictures or sitting and smiling pictures.

Note: I did not plan on those bright pink shoes. The day before I had Ziva try on all her spring/summer shoes and only one pair fit. And when you are as pregnant as I am, you don't just run out and get new ones. So we rolled with the punches (if you can actually call not having the perfect shoes a punch) and wore what would fit.

Running Here

Running There. She probably spend over half the time running. She have such a great time.

Playing in the Grass

Licking the Grass. Not really. Just looks that way.

Swinging. Her favorite.

Spring Time at the Park - Part I/Pictures with Flowers

Two weekends ago we spent a Sunday afternoon at Forsyth Park. It really is such a beautiful park. Makes the perfect back drop for pictures. Too bad I have a child who could care less about having her picture taken. As always she only wanted to play with dead leaves and mulch. In these pictures we got her to fake it a bit, but you can totally tell she wasn't into it. Serves us right.

On a good note, she loved the park. She loved being "OUTSIDE." (I don't think she can say that word without excitement.) She was all over the place. It was almost like she was a different child. I think she just needed to run off the winter.

This is how she shows the camera a flower.

The only way we could get her to pay any attention to the daffodils was to trap her in the middle of them.

Looks like she is looking at the pretty flowers but what she is really doing is playing the the dead ones. Why?!?

She could have cared less about this flower.

What a goofy little smile.

Goof Ball

That is what Ziva calls Golf. "Play goof ball, mommy!" Neither her father nor I are golfers but that didn't stop Jason from buying her the set. She loves it. I actually believe she likes pushing the "bag" around more than playing. As long as she's having fun...right?

Note: My child does have pants. These pictures were taken when we were still potty training and it was easier for her to do what she needed to do without pants. We were in the back yard with a privacy fence so I felt it was okay. Makes a great outfit. OH and she chose the boots and hat.
